Summer Cards - Jeanne

Four floral cards are featured this month including a crisscross card (an unusual way to create a pocket card) stamping and layering flowers using Heartfelt Creations stamps and matching dies, and creating a fun background using a wax paper resist technique.
Bring your favorite crafting tools which should include scissors, wet and dry adhesives, foam tape, pop dots, and a Misti tool if you have one.
All other supplies will be furnished.

Time for Some Fun! - Deb

We will be making four fun cards that will be a pleasure to give and to receive.  Deb will teach you a new technique called "Faux Watercolor" floral, an interactive card similar to the old ViewMaster, a gatefold/shaker mason jar card, and a real scratcher lottery birthday card.

Get creative with your faith!
And Join Designer and Instructor Bibiana Martinez-Ziegler for the 1stIntroductory” Workshop.
This class will help you combine 2 activities: connect your creative side to your faith, incorporate scripture with corresponding Art into your daily writing journals or Bibles.

On the 1st Introductory Workshop;
Hear how Bibiana documents her faith; She will share her experience, show you how to start journaling on your bible. She will show you many examples of styles, mediums, favorite tools and techniques.
Highlighted products : journaling bibles; journals; journaling pens; colored pencils; markers; highlighters, inks, watercolors, acrylic paints; pastels; stamps; steel dies etc…
You will learn and complete:
Various tips on Art Journaling; learn 8 different coloring, shading & blending techniques with colored pencils;
You will make a handmade Art Journal Cover; go home with various free scripture printables to work on and to be finished at home.
*Please bring: colored pencils + extra embellishments for your cover such as washi-tape, metal adornments, flowers etc…
+ Basic “craft” tool kit: journaling pen; pencil; paper; scissors, adhesives, etc
Optional: bible, or journal; other fun supplies will be discussed in class such as washi-tape, stickers; rub-ons, extra embellishments...

Whether you are newly into bible journaling, an experienced art journaler, mix media artist, painter, cardmaker, or scrapbooker you're sure to have fun incorporating scripture into your creative world with all this information as we explore God's Word and share creative tips and ideas for using art as an expression of worship.

A series of workshops will follow. Each workshop will give you both content (a verse centered around grace and some thoughts on that verse) and an art journaling technique to try. The workshops will help you to get organized, inspired, implementing all sorts of new or old techniques discovering as well new supplies. It’s all about connecting your spiritual life with your creativity.

A shadow box is a three-dimensional creation made to showcase a particular design or stamp.  Starting out with only cardstock, cutting tools, and tape, we will create an elegant shadow box by layering and staggering images and making an accordion paper frame to add dimension and interest.

Bring your favorite crafting tools, which should include scissors, 
wet and dry adhesives, foam tape, and pop dots.
