November 19th - Marathon in the Dark???

Stampers True Grit!  Stamping in the Dark and Cold!


We had the most unbelieveable group of women hang in there with us at our last Marathon - we had NO PG&E - that means: no light, no heat, no electricity, no glue guns, and no heat guns!


Our ladies were coloring in the dark with cold/shaky hands and being so flexible and full of humor throughout the whole day!  The Marathon was from 10-5pm and we did not get our PG&E fixed until 3:30pm that day!


Our thanks and gratitude to our 28 ladies and their "no guts, no glory" attitude for the day! (not to mention the staff - did I mention "hoops" jumped through as well as flexibility?)


I don't know why Estie had the "miner's light" in her stamping tool kit - but she did - could this be a new fad in the world of stamping items?  I am sure we could find a way to embellish it............

Coloring with Prismacolor Pencils - Irina

Coloring with Prismacolor Pencils Workshop

Wednesday, December 7th, 2 pm to 7 pm 

This is a hands on workshop.  You will learn:
- How to choose the right paper (at the workshop you will receive a cinch-binded notebook with three    different types of paper)
- Basics of coloring with pencils
- Layering Colors
- Blending
- Color Combinations
- Coloring Skin Tones and Hair Colors
- Coloring Backgrounds (grass, clouds, etc.)
- we will touch up on coloring on Craft cardstock too!!

Please bring pencil sharpener, large soft brush, Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black and Prismacolor Pencils for your personal use at the workshop.

Note about pencils: I have a 48 pencil set, so if you have/buy this one, you will have almost all of the colors that we will be using.  Additional colors are: Chocolate, Kelp Green, Pale Sage, Ginger Root, Muted Turquoise and Sky Blue Light.

Come and make beautiful Christmas Cards using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Peel Off's, micro fine glitter and the Simmer Sheetz. You will learn al lot of different techniques. We will color with the Copic markers on top of the Highlight glitter, work with the newest Tim Holtz Christmas ornament die, learn the Burnished Velvet technique with our micro fine glitter and lots more.

Just bring your basic card kit and a good spirit and you will have a few hours of fun and will go home with three beautiful cards to send to family or friends!

In this class we will make three beautiful cards loaded with techniques. We will use the Copic markers on top of the Highlight glitter, the Mica colors paints on black Cardstock, die cut flowers and apply the Burnished Velvet technique, die cut leaves and use alcohol inks and embossing folders etc. You will go home and have learned a lot and had fun at the same time! Bring your basic card kit and all the rest will be taken care off! 

Don't forget to bring your camera as well. I will bring lots of samples for you to take a look at and make pictures if you want to.

Maximum participants 20 - bring detail scissors and adhesives.

Els will also be in the store doing demos

Karen Lockhart owner of the Lockhart Stamp Company will be here to teach two Introduction to Color Pencil classes with a fall theme.  Karen has an unique way she uses the color pencils and is excited to teach this Introductory class.  

Karen has other advanced classes which she will be coming to teach in the future, but this Intro class is a requirement to be able to attend advanced classes.  Don't miss out!

As a special treat, Karen will be autographing any Lockhart 

purchased stamps of the participants of this class!

Copic Rental for Class Time!

Sorry for any inconvenience, but the rental program is discontinued. Are you new to Copics or have you never tried them?  Do you not have all the colors needed on a class list?   We are going to have a few sets available for rent during class times only.  The pens will rent for .25 per pen.  You will be able to use these pens during class time at the store only. Sets will be limited, so if you are interested please call the store to reserve your set.
